Apple to Samsung
Was looking to upgrade to 6S today but Apple don't seem to budge on their pricing. I use a phone for e-mails, texts and calls so not worried about having a 7 due to inflated monthly costs.
I do like the look of the Galaxy S7 but don't want to regret swapping over after having iPhoneS for several years.

What benefits or disadvantages will I see, glad for your wisdom.

Re: Apple to Samsung
I went from iPhone 4 to LG G3 and thought it was a much better phone, until it decided not to change up one day. Was given an iPhone 5 as a replacement but didn't think it was as good as the 4.

Got caught up in the hype of the 7 but am not that impressed with it. Take a look at the LG phone. You may be surprised.

Re: Apple to Samsung
I've had the Google Pixel XL for three weeks now, coming from two years of an LG G3 and years of iPhoning before that. Best phone I've ever had. It comes with built-in iPhone migration software.

Fucking expensive though. You're looking at £820 for an unlocked 128GB model which is just nuts.

The G5 and Samsung S7 Edge were the other two on the shortlist, but I'm very pleased with the choice I made in the end.

Re: Apple to Samsung
I had three iPhones and moved over to android 4 years ago which I much prefer.

I have recently got a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge which is fucking unbelievabubble. Brilliant phone, utterly brilliant.

However if you fancy that don't get the Edge version, just get the standard S7 unless you HAVE to have the bigger screen as the edge thing is pretty pointless I have found. I only got it for the bigger size (I like watching videos on mine)

Re: Apple to Samsung
I'd probably move over but can't be doing with the hassle of having to buy/reinstall every single app I use or transferring all my numbers/data etc from Apple's storage to elsewhere.

Re: Apple to Samsung
Funny how everyone's opinion differs. I've had Samsung and Android for around 8 years now, and after a bad experience with the Samsung S6 Edge plus have finally moved over to an iPhone 7+. Battery life on the Samsung was around 5 hours, fucking pathetic, spent more time charging the poxy thing, i know the newer Samsung 7 is a lot better, but fancied a change. I have to say for ease and work, and battery life the iPhone is better than my Samsung and Android phones. Do prefer iPhone and glad i changed.

Re: Apple to Samsung
Had an iPhone 6 moved to Samsung.

I now have an Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. It makes the Apple phones look like a Nokia 3310. Unbelievably good handset.

Safe to say i will not be going back to Apple.

Re: Apple to Samsung
Had iphones from 1st one up to 6s, changed to G4 (too big), went to S6 (was allright..) got an s7 when they came out, & think its great, much better battery, camera etc. works fine with Macbook, despite what you read. OK, not quite as easy as using itunes etc, but at least your not constantly asked to sign into itunes, so as they can know what your up to you all the time.

As Rio said HTC 10 is well worth looking at.

I've always had HTC's and they've never let me down

Basically everything is better, the operating system is better, and it's cheaper.

Re: Apple to Samsung
Had apple for years and got fed up of how lazy their innovation was so went for the s7, worth every penny and highly recommended

You are stupid if you don't get the Google Pixel.
Purr android without 3party vendor shit apps and continuously android updates.
Thank me later!

Re: Apple to Samsung
Dan M and Keep Dreaming, what makes the Pixel better? Genuine question. I have an iPad, Apple Music, MacBook etc so have never thought about another phone but I keep hearing I should swap. What can it do that an iPhone can't?

Cheers.
